Scott Arnett is a mining safety professional with more than 30 years of experience across underground and surface mining operations, engineering environments, and safety training and leadership roles. He is an advocate for advancing worker safety, health, and well-being across heavy industry. Drawing on decades of field experience, Scott speaks on the human factors that influence workplace performance, decision-making, and risk in high-hazard industries.
His presentations focus on mental health awareness, suicide prevention, safety culture, leadership, and human performance, as well as the broader challenges facing today’s workforce in mining, construction, energy, manufacturing, and other high-risk sectors. His mission is to help others recognize that effective safety systems must address both physical hazards and the mental and emotional well-being of the workforce.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Liberty University and an Associate Degree in Business Management. He is not a licensed therapist or mental health professional. His work is centered on advocacy, awareness, education, and facilitating meaningful conversations that support safer and healthier workplaces.
